They Contain More Energy Than the Batteries of Many Plug-In Hybrids

Read the reviews and you’ll learn that Lekto Hardwood Heat Logs produce an astonishing amount of heat. The amount of energy contained in just one is truly hard to comprehend. So let's bring it into context.

The battery of the latest iPhone 13 is rated at 12.54 watt-hours (Wh). The latest MacBook Air has a battery that contains 49.9 Wh worth of energy. The popular Segway Ninebot E22 electric kick scooter can drive 22 kilometres on a full 184 Wh charge, and the top-rated VanMoof S3 electric bike has an impressive 504 Wh battery.

Moving on from bikes to cars, we see a huge jump. The battery of the 2021 Hyundai Ioniq Plug-in Hybrid sedan has a capacity of 8,900 Wh. So what about Lekto Hardwood Heat Logs?

A single log contains 10,300 Wh worth of energy. That’s right. 1,400 Wh more than the Korean manufacturer’s popular sedan.

They Are Dried to Ultra-Low Moisture Levels

The amount of energy stored in an object is just a number if there is no way of extracting it efficiently and making it do useful work. Wet firewood has as much energy stored in it as Ready to Burn kiln dried firewood, however, try burning a wet log and you’ll see that numbers aren’t everything. It’d be next to impossible to light and if you do manage to light it, it’ll produce a lot of smoke, soot, and toxic gases. What it won’t produce is a lot of productive heat.

To perform optimally, firewood needs to be kiln-dried to a moisture content of 20% or under. This is incredibly difficult to achieve and requires several days of non-stop industrial kiln-drying, or up to two or three years of air drying, and Lekto Hardwood Heat Logs are dried to a much harsher standard than that!

We only allow for a maximum of 90 grams of moisture per kilogram of dry hardwood mass. This allows our Heat Logs to burn as cleanly and efficiently as possible, making most of that 10,300 Wh energy value. Due to their incredibly low moisture content, we advise you to keep them in their packaging until using them. Being ultra-dry, they can act as a sponge and suck up moisture from the air. And that added moisture can impede their performance.

They Are the Hottest-Burning Wood Fuel on the Market

The recipe is simple. Take a ridiculously energy-dense wood fuel and dry it to incredibly low moisture levels. And what you get as a result is the hottest-burning wood fuel out there.

Our hardwood heat logs will warm rooms up faster than any other type of wood fuel out there. Your rooms will also get warmer than if you were to use any other heating material, so you’ll be able to warm your home to your preferred temperature even in the bitterest of cold.

In fact, being a market-leading wood fuel, Lekto Hardwood Heat Logs contain more heat than most people will ever need outside of extreme survival scenarios. So the most popular way our clients use our fire heat logs is as a cost-efficient booster fuel for when their main wood fuel doesn’t supply enough heat.

For example, one of our clients uses traditional firewood but whenever he feels that he needs a little bit more heat than his wood stove can supply, he adds half of a Hardwood Heat Log to raise the temperature. Saving himself from the need to add any extra firewood.

They Can Be Easily Split by Hand

Adding half (or even a third) of a Heat Log is incredibly simple thanks to their innovative design.

Pick up one of our fire heat logs and you’ll see a set of about 20 grooves. The log can easily be split at any of these grooves either by applying a little bit of pressure with your hands or by tapping the log on a hard surface.

The following video clearly shows the grooves and the abovementioned tapping method:

As you can see, breaking Lekto heat logs apart is incredibly easy and requires very little force.

Many of our clients even let their children do it. And it goes without saying that children absolutely love breaking things apart.

Their Production Process Eliminates Waste

If you’ve been following us for any length of time, then you know that Lekto produces some of the most eco friendly heat logs out there. In fact, the production process of all our briquette products actually eliminates global waste, instead of adding to it.

Made from a special blend of traditionally discarded sawmill byproducts, we source materials from reputable sawmills that have a proven environmental record. In turn, the owners of our partner sawmills only source their wood from responsibly managed forests.

They’re So Dense They Expand to Twice Their Size When Burned

The moment most people realize that our product is different from your run of the mill birch RUF heat logs and even traditional oak heat logs is when they first try burning them. You only have to read the reviews to see how many people are surprised by the incredible heat output generated by them.

We already talked about the astonishing energy density of the logs, but we didn’t touch on how this density is achieved. The answer to that riddle is ultra-high compression.

During the production process, our Hardwood Heat Logs are compressed to an incredibly high density by a specially-made industrial pressing rod. We also use a similar technique in the production of our Pini Kay heat logs, but the energy density of that product is slightly lower as it is made for a completely different use case.

Observe the burning process of our eco friendly heat logs, and you’ll see just how much material is rammed into each one. As they burn, they will usually expand to twice their original size.

What does that mean for you? It means you’re getting twice the amount of briquette heat for the same amount of storage space. This makes our Hardwood Heat Logs the perfect solution for situations when storage space is at a premium.

Our Customers Absolutely Adore Them

Read almost any Hardwood Heat Logs review online and you’ll see nothing but near-universal adoration (and the love is well-deserved).

The product burns much hotter than most people think is even possible for an all-natural product. It lights up easily and burns cleanly. You can break it apart and use only as much as you need. And you need so little of it for a heat boost that a pack can last you a very long time.
